WCP GmbH in Messel has also supported the Kinderkrebsstiftung-Frankfurt with a great donation in 2022.
Mr Mattis and his team would like to play a part in ensuring that research against cancer in children can continue. They hope that new findings and treatments will be discovered and that this will hopefully help many children and young people with cancer.
A big THANK YOU to Mr Mattis for his loyal and valuable support.
In view of the tense global and socio-political situation, the management of ALDI SÜD has increased the annual donation budget for 2022 for each regional company in order to be able to support special regional projects or organisations.
We are pleased that our foundation, among others, was selected from the numerous suggestions made by ALDI’s employees.
Our Board member Fabian Rauch accepted the donation cheque for 500 euros on 15 December 2022 in Mörfelden-Walldorf.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to ALDI Süd for this great commitment.
A big thank you to Mainova AG in cooperation with Spiridon Frankfurt for the opportunity to draw attention to our important research work in the field of childhood and adolescent cancer with a stand at this year’s Spiridon Mainova New Year’s Eve Run on 31 December 2022.
Five of our researchers are happy about the starting places that have been made available. They will – as in their research work – also give their best in sports.
Visit our stand on 31.12.2022 on the grounds of the winter sports hall at Deutsche Bank Park and find out about the important work of the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer. We look forward to seeing you!
Supporting the local region not only with IT know-how, but also regularly supporting the work of regional charitable organisations with fundraising campaigns – that is what juunit GmbH has set out to do.
As fathers of families, it is particularly important to the two managing directors of juunit GmbH, Dennis Schwarzer and Josip Udovc, that children and young people can grow up carefree. Health is an essential building block for this. Therefore, they would like to support the work of the “Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer” with a charity campaign in December. For every new follower on juunit’s social media channels, the IT company will donate one euro to the foundation.
All children and young people suffering from cancer should be able to be cured. This is the vision of the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer.
For almost 20 years, intensive research has been conducted into the causes of childhood and adolescent cancer in the foundation’s own research house in Frankfurt’s Niederrad district and innovative treatment options have been sought. But only a few Frankfurt citizens know about this important work in their city.
To change this, a VGF tram is now drawing attention to the important childhood cancer research in Frankfurt.
The Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer is a non-profit foundation and receives no financial support from the public sector. Last but not least, the currently rising costs of energy and raw materials present the foundation with a new challenge. Electricity costs alone are increasing by 130,000 euros per year. In order for the life-saving research work to continue undiminished, the Foundation needs the support of many people.
We cordially invite you to visit our homepage to learn more about the importance of our work.
If you would like to contribute to the Foundation’s vision that all children and young people suffering from cancer can one day be cured, you can support the research work here with an online donation.
… Markus Bernsteiner, Managing Director of Arnold GmbH Frankfurt, comes to our research house to present a donation for children’s cancer research. This year we were again pleased to receive 1,500 euros. A heartfelt “THANK YOU” for this loyal and valuable support.
The team of FRED Executive Search GmbH had decided to support a regional non-profit organisation with a donation this year instead of Christmas presents to the clients.
We are pleased that our charitable Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer was chosen. We were happy to give the two employees Sophia Lück and Cynthia Heim a deeper insight into the important research work in the field of childhood and adolescent cancer during a tour of our building. When the two visited us again a few days later, accompanied by one of their bosses, Mr Hans M. Mantell, he too was convinced of the importance of the donation for children’s cancer research after a tour of our laboratories. Our managing director Marcus Klüssendorf was able to accept a fabulous 2,500 euros as a donation.
A big thank you to FRED Executive Search GmbH for this great and vital support, which gives hope for healing to the young patients and their families.

On 25 October 2022, the Chairman of our Foundation, Dr Jürgen Vogt, presented this year’s Dr Maresch-Klingelhöffer Award to Dr Johanna Theruvath. She was chosen by the jury for this award because of her research success at Stanford University against aggressive brain tumours in children.
With her research, Dr. Theruvath has succeeded in taking an important step towards improving the chances of cure for children diagnosed with the very aggressive Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumour (ATRT), which has been difficult to cure up to now. The results of her research work are highly relevant and can now be tested in clinical trials as the next step.
We are very happy for and with Dr. Theruvath for the appreciation of her important work and congratulate her very warmly on the award.
The Dr. Maresch-Klingehöffer Prize has been awarded by the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer since 2008 for the best work by natural scientists and young scientists (up to 40 years of age) in the field of paediatric oncology and haematology as well as for research areas directly related to the research focus. It is made possible by an endowment made in 2007 by the couple Dr. Otto Maresch and Doris Maresch-Klingelhöffer to our foundation.
