We congratulate PD Dr. rer. nat. habil. Sjoerd van Wijk on his habilitation!

On October 5, 2023, PD Dr. rer. nat. habil. Sjoerd van Wijk, group leader at the Institute for Experimental Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the University Hospital of Goethe-University Frankfurt, gave his inaugural lecture entitled: “Memento mori: New insights into the regulation of cell death and survival in health and disease”. Among the numerous invited guests were family, friends and colleagues as well as Dr. med. Jürgen Vogt, Chairman of the Board of the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer, which has for many years been financially supporting the research activities of PD Dr. rer. nat. habil. van Wijk at the Dr. Petra Joh Research House.
