INVITATION to the student exhibition “Science meets Art: The cell as a power plant” 15 – 17 February 2025 / Opening 15 February 2025, 2:00 pm

To mark World Childhood Cancer Day 2025, an extraordinary exhibition that creatively combines art and science will open in the Schwanenhallen of Frankfurt’s Römer.
Under the title “Cell as a Power Plant”, pupils from several Frankfurt schools will present impressive works of art that were created as part of an interdisciplinary educational project.

The Lord Mayor of Frankfurt supports this event with his patronage. Mike Josef emphasises appreciatively: “With the newly launched art and education project, the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer, together with the artists, specialist teachers from IGS Süd, Gymnasium Süd, Gymnasium Römerhof, Akademie Goldstein and the Bad-Homburg Children’s Art School, has found an excellent way for pupils to deal with the often difficult subject of cancer.

This will improve young people’s understanding of this disease. Many interesting works of art and objects were created last year. I am very excited to see what the young people’s creativity has produced this year.”

We cordially invite you! Come to the opening of the exhibition by Sylvia Weber, Head of Education, and visit this unique exhibition.
Another highlight of the exhibition is a walk-in cell that gives visitors of all ages a completely new perspective on the structure and function of cells.
